Cannabis and Sport, Towns: “Cannabis can enhance your quality of life”

"You could use the chemical properties of cannabis to make people feel better", said Karl-Anthony Towns, centre of the Timberwolves, who is one amongst many other Basketball players in the United States who is supportive of the legalisation of cannabis in therapy and Sports.
 
Adam Silver, NBA commissioner for the Basketball Without Borders held in Israel, was also very encouraging in September.
 
Towns, in his statements, spread in Italy by NanoPress, retold his experience of how cannabis brought important benefits for the autistic nephew of his girlfriend:
 
"I noticed only positive benefits for her” - says the athlete of Dominican origins - “and I'm happy that she could get better. As a parent, you would do anything for your child".
 
"I've never smoked. I never got busted. But I'm dealing with autistic children at the Reed Academy in New Jersey. My girlfriend has an autistic nephew and you realise that marijuna has great benefits for both children and adults."
 
In the United States, cannabis for therapeutic use has been legalised in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Oregon, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Toronto and Washington D.C.
 
These states are home to nineteen of the thirty teams taking part in the NBA championship.
 
The United States and Canada are currently the two countries and the reference market for the legalisation of cannabis, both at a therapeutic and recreational level.
 
"It's not that because we are NBA athletes we are superheroes” - concludes Towns - “some of us could use marijuna to live better every day!"
