Enecta Bike Tour, the 2019 edition

The two-day event isn’t just dedicated to two-wheel lovers; in fact this second edition proposes various novelties including the ‘AgreenCulture - Abruzzo Hemp Festival’

Exactly a month to go before the second edition of the Enecta Bike Tour, a fantastic weekend of Cannabis and Cycling in Abruzzo, Castelvecchio Subequo.

Enecta has been promoting, for some years already, the connection between CBD and Sports, with the objective to raise the awareness on the potentials of this molecule and at the same time to promote a lifestyle related to the psychophysical wellbeing of the individual.  

The two-day event, taking place June 29 and 30, isn’t just dedicated to bike lovers; in fact this second edition presents various novelties.

The Enecta Bike Tour takes place in the territories in which the major part of the Cannabis cultivations are located, which are intended to be transformed into our products. Just as the choice to cultivate was a way of enhancing the territory with regard to the economic revenue, founding the headquarters of the Bike Tour here, was a way of promoting the natural riches and beauty of a territory scarcely visited and little-known from this point of view.

The two-day tour will start with a visit to the Cannabis fields of Green Valley, accessible to everyone and not just to the participating cyclists.

Green Valley is a farm in Abruzzo, the cultivating partner of Enecta.  

A Tour created not with the usual spirit characterising a cycling race, but as a moment of sharing of sport, wellbeing and knowledge and awareness on cannabis.

The novelty of the second edition is that on Sunday 30, from 5.30 p.m. onwards, the Enecta Bike Tour presents ‘AgreenCulture - Abruzzo Hemp Festival’ an afternoon open to everyone, and not just to cyclists and with Hemp as the protagonist.

The detailed programme

At 9.00 a.m. appointment at the San Francesco Square in Castelvecchio Subequo, from where the ‘Excursion to the fields‘ will depart, open to everybody.

After a walk of four kms along a route also suitable for the younger ones among us, we will arrive near Molina and visit the largest Hemp fields ever created in Italy.

Once reached the field, we will talk about the 'Green Valley' project, about what CBD is, about the properties of the Hemp plant, and how the public opinion is showing an increasing interest in it.

At 11.30 a.m. the cyclists will depart (towards the fields) for the first stage of the Tour, which will lead from Castelvecchio to Passo Godi, where they will spend the night.

On Sunday, June 30, the ENECTA BIKE TOUR 2019 will present AgreenCulture - Abruzzo Hemp Festival.

What is it?

At 4.30 p.m. the cyclists should arrive back in town, after having travelled along a marvellous route in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park. The slope of Olmo di Bobbio  and a never-ending descent will lead them back to Castelvecchio Subequo.
