CBD (abbreviation of Cannabidiol) is an active component of Cannabis Sativa and represents along with Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main Phytocannabinoid present in the entire phytocomplex (hundreds of chemical substances and more than seventy Phytocannabinoids, of which some are still hardly studied). In recent years there has been a renewed interest in CBD in the Scientific and Medical Community, mainly due to its antioxydant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and neuroprotective activities.
